25 weeks and counting....
So it seems that this pregnancy has gone so smoothly that I didn't even realize just how far along I was until today when I got my weekly update from babycenter.com....
Then I started counting how many weeks I have left and low and behold, I am well over half way there. I am 25 weeks with 14 weeks to go. WHAT? When did that happen? Just where have I been during this pregnancy? I need to take another picture of my belly but just haven't gotten around to it. Will do soon...I promise. :o)
I had a doctors appointment last week and all seems well. I heard the sweet little heartbeat and the Dr. said that my growing belly is right on track. Oh and since I know I have gained a few pounds {grin}, I asked what my weight gain from start to now has been...I have gained a whopping 15 lbs. But, in my defense this baby sure likes to make me eat and she sure does like salty foods. {grin}
Madison - 32 lbs
Hayden - we shall see :o)

I feel so grown up
I feel so grown up after this weekend.
This weekend both of the girls were off with different family members and I was able to focus most of my attention on my post-surgery husband. We were also able to have some grown up time.... Saturday evening by going to the movies, dinner, and then to the ice cream shop on our way home. Schuyler was limping a little more by that evening but he said he still enjoyed it. :o)
Then Sunday I was able to get a little more grown stuff done too. I got a lot of house cleaning done while the radio was on and the windows were open. It was so NICE and I was very proud of myself at the end of the day. I washed and actually folded, hung up and put away every piece of clothing at our family has. My mom and grandma would be so proud. LOL
I feel so grown up after this weekend. :o)

Remember that fork???
Remember when I mentioned a while back that you can still a fork in us because we are done?(having kids that is) Well, its official. Schuyler took one for the team and went under the knife this morning. He is now home sitting on the couch with ice packs while the remote, pain medicine, drink, phone, lap top and blanket are all within arms reach. He seems to be doing pretty well and in good spirits. I am jus so proud of him. :o)
I must admit though....while sitting in the waiting room by myself, just after they called him back, I had a brief moment of second guessing our decision and a little panic but as soon as thoughts of 3 proms, 3 college tuition's and 3 weddings set in, I was very quickly over that any doubt I may have had. :o) I am sure that from time to time, I will look back and wonder if we had tried once more if it would have been a boy. My desire for a boy is mainly based on the fact that Schuyler is the last male of his last name and that all daddy's want a little boy.
But, stick that fork in us, we are DONE! :o) Now, on to loving and being happy with the children and family that we have. I am looking forward to the life that has been laid out for us and the future ahead.

Kids say the Darndest things!!!
Kids say the darnedest things that can sure embarrass their moms.
While at a local grocery story, in a pretty long line, there was a rather large lady in front of us and Skyler happened to notice. She said (while pointing and speaking loudly) "Mommy, she needs to go on the Biggest Loser and she could win". I instantly wanted to find a hole and crawl in it. I bent down to Skyler's level and explained to her that, that was not nice to say and that it may hurt the lady's feelings if she heard her. Skyler was dumbfounded.
Then, I reluctantly stood back up and glanced in her direction to see if she was looking at us, but luckily she wasn't. My instant thought was, "whew...maybe she didn't hear". But I soon realized that a few ladies in line behind us had heard Skyler and were giggling and whispering about how kids speak the truth. That was not what I wanted to hear since that only meant that the larger lady must have heard the comment too.
Oh, it is awesome being a mom some times. :o)
