Sweetnes All Around!

Me and my sweet husband...... All together now...awwwwww! :o)

This sweet little head that rests upon a sweet little dog while enjoying a sweet sucker
would never....

bury such sweet little head in the carpet while on the time out step! And she would defiantly not be singing a sweet little song while doing it.

I may be a bit bias but I think this other sweet little girl is growing up to be such a beautiful, sweet not so little girl. You can't even tell that her sweet little nose has been broken twice.

All Pumped Up!

We went to a super fun birthday party at pump it up. A huge building full of separate rooms with tons if moonwalks. We had a great time. It was a bit dark in the room so the photos turned out bad but you get the picture.

Daddy was trying out the "sport" setting on my camera and all the pictures turned out blurry but this next picture is me with 4 kids all sliding down together. We did it over and over. :o)Here is one of me and the girls going down the slide.

Help Needed

Would someone please explain to my husband that walking 26 miles will not be easy? Seriously...he asked me why I am walking to get ready for the upcoming walk. I tried to explain it and he said "walking is not hard, you walk all the time during normal daily life and walking is not like running or anything". No, walking is not as hard as running but still 26 miles won't be easy. He never got it! I tried to get him to do the walk with me and he said he had no desire. HA! :o) oh....God love him...me and god love him.

I have been doing pretty good preparing for the walk. I walk every day during lunch and try to Saturday and Sunday but this past weekend was a TOTAL WASH OUT! Well, I got a lot of house cleaning done....Oh the Fun!

Enjoyed Some Neat Cowboy Events,

Pet a lot of animals (Madison's shirt was eaten by a goat in the petting zoo),

Watched baby chicks hatch...(a little gross since they were all gooey when they came out),

Oooh'd and Ahhh'd over some 3 day old piglets,
Meandered on Some Precious Ponies,

Slid Down and Super Huge Slide,

Whirled on Pink Elephants,

Watched a Rockin' Concert by Toby Keith,

And Stopped Playing Along with Mommy and her Camera.

Make Over

When trying to tame short curly hair the best way is to put a lot of pony tails. :o)

Red Raiders

Skyler's team the Red Raiders are doing really good. Skyler has certainly improved from last season and we are so proud of her. The parade went pretty well but it still is not a parade without candy being thrown. The local police will not let us throw candy anymore for safety reasons. So the crowd just looked like they thinking "what a lame parade". But the girls had fun.

We tried to make it festive and accessorize.....big earrings, a high pony tale that was actually upside down french braided in the back, a bunch of red, black and white bracelets, one black sock and one white sock and then as we were loading in the car....I looked at her and thought.....oh my goodness, she looks like an 80's rock star! Oops....but she was cute. :o)
The coach's son Stoney (not on our team) and Skyler were born the very same day a few hours apart. Now they are super best friends. Here is a picture of the two of them and after showing is mom she said "oh, we can show it at their wedding". Not something I want think about.

A Guilty Conscience

Today has been one of those "Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Days" and I have to vent since I have a GUILTY CONSCIENCE.

Being a mother and a working professional is not always easy. (As I am sure many of you know) You feel guilty when you leave your children with others, you feel especially guilty when you leave them when they are sick, you feel guilty when you come home and your house is a disaster because you have not had time to focus on it, you feel guilty that you can't make it to all of your child's programs or "special days" at school, you feel guilty when you don't want to cook dinner because you are tired from working, you feel guilty because your husbands work shirts are wrinkled, you feel guilty when you go put put your children to bed and don't always have the energy to read them a book at night.

Then there is the flip side to that when you are at work and you feel guilty when you have to leave so much when they are sick or have Dr. appointments or have a program that you put your foot down and said you are going to this one, or heaven forbid take a half day off to take them to the rodeo. You also feel guilty when your mind is with your family and your home issues and worries that you did not give 100% at work and you know that you could have done so much better, you feel guilty when you have personal phone calls at work having no other choice since most doctors offices/banks/businesses/etc. are only open 8-5, you feel guilty when you take a 1.5 lunch because you were at the store buying stuff for your child's project or a dress for your husband's company party, you feel guilty when your late to work because one daughter pee'd her pants as you were about to walk out the door and the other tells you when you are almost to her school that she forgot her homework at home.

These are just a few of the things that I have been struggling with today...but...tomorrow is another day and life goes on. We have chosen a life style that requires me to work and I am for the most part happy with it but there are days like this. Thanks for listening. :o)
