We all had a very Memorable Memorial Day Weekend! (WARNING: Huge picture post!)
Schuyler was off to Mississippi with his mother and the men in their family, for four days of farm fixin' fun. The poor guys were rained on almost the entire time, but they still managed to get a lot done. Just stick Schuyler on a Front-End Loader and he can always have fun no matter the weather. Boys play with little tractors in the dirt as children and they grow up to play with big tractors in bigger dirt! :o) "Man time" with his uncles and cousins is something Schuyler looks forward to every year, so I am glad that he was able to go again this year, but we are glad that he is home since we all missed him.
Skyler, Madison and I spent a very enjoyable and relaxing 4 days in Matagorda, camping with my parents, my aunt & uncle, my cousin and her son. Boy, did we have some fun! We stayed right on the water and were 5 minutes from the beach. We enjoyed some boating, fishing, crabbing, swimming, sand-digging, sun bathing, outdoor cooking & eating, and a great time visiting with family.
My super sweet cousin Jennifer has a beautiful little boy, Jack. He is the apple of her eyes and after spending the weekend with them, I now see that it is not only because she is his mother. You see, Jack is the happiest and sweetest little 2 year old boy that I have ever met. He may have down syndrome and a few other health issues, but you see right passed that and instead see how very special he is. Everything about him just draws you into him. His laugh lights up a room, his smile brings a smile to every ones face, his completely unexpected and random "HI", just draws you into him, the way that he would mimic my girls was very entertaining, and all of the love that surrounds him by his mother, father, and grandparents just warms my heart. I got a few cute pics of Jack and Jen so please enjoy.

Notice Skyler's sour face in this next picture....I guess we were keeping her from digging. HA! Oh well, I will take it! I am glad to have it since I don't get many of me and my two favorite girls!

I think this picture is funny...they were both so serious about fishing that they almost looked mad. They were so focused that they didn't even know I was there taking a picture of them. HA!

She is holding a shrimp....a little scared, but still doing it. (more than I can do)

Check out the tounge in the next picture....I got about 10 pictures of her building sand castles and every one had that tongue sticking out. I guess it helped her focus. :o)

Skyler fishing...notice the metal around her neck? It has very seldom left her neck since she received it for being on the all "A" Honor Roll the entire year of 1st grade.

Showing her Texas roots. :o)
