Titled "Just Life" because we all live life day in and day out and it is "Just Life". But when you stop and think about it, "Just Life" means so many different things to each and every one of us and changes from day to day.
At this time for my beautiful neice and nephew "Just Life" is learning to walk, talk, crawl, be more independent, and to each find their own little personalities.
At this time for my dear daughter Skyler "Just Life" is learning the ropes of 2nd grade, growing up and gaining chores, loving her many friends, still a little sensitive, being a wonderful help to her little sister with her new found mothering skill and in her quest to find her sporting niche she is tumbling around a cheer studio.
At this time for my sweet daughter Madison "Just Life" is trying her hand in the 4yr. old class, a little sneaky with a tad of mischievous, starting to really care what others think of her and her appearance, talking really well, and really missing her big sister when she is not around.
At this time for these two sisters "Just Life" means a lot of pretend play, giggling, running, chasing, laughing, swimming, boating, a little more sharing, and a whole lot of loving.

A new hair cut
I have been debating for a while if I should cut Skyler's hair again. Her hair is very healthy but if left unbrushed for a while it gets a bit stringy looking. So we decided to go for it. Here is what her hair looked like before cutting it...granted it is after a good brushing too.
I was thinking a little shorter, like a cute little bob would make her look "cute and sweet". Oh was I surprised what it did to her look. It made her look older. :o( Totally the opposite than I was going for, but it sure looks cute. It just makes a momma sad to see her daughter growing up before her eyes and seems almost overnight.
She LOVES IT! I guess she was a little excited since the next morning on the 2nd day of school she came down in my room fully dressed in the below outfit that she picked out saying, "momma wake up it is time to get up" I rolled over to look at the clock, wondering why I had over slept, to see it was 4:30AM!!! I told her to go back to bed and that I didn't even care if she slept in her clothes.... just go back to bed. Crazy Girl! :o)
And Seriously...whay happen to my baby? She is growing up so fast and I am in shock! I want her to stop. I guess I am going to have to except it that she is no longer a little girl anymore. {sniff, sniff, tear}

Skyler's 1st Day of 2nd Grade
Skyler's first day of 2nd grade went pretty well. She wore the outfit that she has been wanting to wear for 3 weeks now. I am not a huge fan but it is in style and a lot of her friends told her this morning that they liked it. I guess that is all that matters. :o) I think she looked like a "Rock Star".
Skyler and one of her BFF's Hannah on class.
Class starting and time for mommy to go. {tear}

Skyler
Last week we went to "meet the teacher" at Skyler's school and found out that she will have a few of her friends from past years in her class. She is so excited. We don't know much about the teacher other than it is her 1st year at the school but I am sure she will be wonderful. I still can't belive she will be starting 2nd grade tomorrow.
Here is Skyler with her 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Garcia
We decided to take Skyler for a day of skating before school starts. A day all about her and devoted just to her and she loved it. :o) Thanks mom for watching Madison for us so that we could do this for Skyler.
Ok he doesn't look happy but he was...I caught him off guard. :o)
Skyler and Schuyler starting the "Red light, Green light" Game....it was pretty funny to watch.
Trying to stop on skates is pretty hard when you are also racing.
They had to fall down to stop.
Skyler and I skating together for a long time. She kept trying to hold onto behind me in my back pockets but it felt like she was pulling my shorts off.
